The Odyssey Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square MAX ½ Ball is a centre-shafted mallet for golfers seeking a stable, square-to-square feel through the putting motion. Its defining feature is the ½ Ball alignment design: the putter’s visual frame helps centre the ball and gives the golfer a clear reference for aiming the face. The MAX head provides a generous mallet profile behind that alignment system.
Odyssey’s Ai-DUAL insert combines a soft urethane outer layer with a firmer inner layer, designed to maintain ball speed across the face and improve forward roll. A deeper FRD groove with a 19° slope works alongside the insert. The centre shaft sits below the centre-of-gravity plane, producing a toe-up balance intended to reduce face rotation and encourage the head to stay square through the stroke.
The Square 2 Square design includes 2° of built-in forward shaft lean and a reverse-taper grip intended to complement that hand position. The MAX ½ Ball standard model is specified with a black SL 120 stepless steel shaft. Its 365 g mallet head has 3° loft and a 72° lie, with 90° up toe balance. Standard lengths are 33, 34 and 35 inches; manufacturer specifications list right- and left-handed options. This is the standard-length version, distinct from the heavier, longer Cruiser build.
