TaylorMade Spider ZT-MAX Golf Putter
Build a repeatable putting setup with the TaylorMade Spider ZT-MAX, a high-stability mallet designed around a zero-torque, toe-up balance. Its alignment system and weighting are intended to make it easier to set the face square and keep the putter stable through impact. This right-handed standard model is suited to golfers who want a modern mallet profile and a carefully fitted putting setup.
Four heavy steel and tungsten corner weights frame a low-density aluminium body to increase moment of inertia and resist twisting on off-centre strikes. The putter’s 2° shaft lean and 34 mm onset are designed to create the toe-up balance. Milled True Path lines, sized around the width of a golf ball, help centre the face and provide a clear visual reference when aiming.
The Pure Roll insert combines Surlyn and aluminium, with 45-degree grooves designed to encourage forward roll and provide a responsive sound and feel. Its 379g head weight gives the standard model a substantial presence, while the KBS CT Putter 120 Stepless shaft and SuperStroke 2° Off-Axis Pistol 1.0 grip complete the stock specification. Clarkes lists 3.5° loft and 70° lie for this right-handed configuration.
Zero-torque designs feel different from traditional toe-hang putters, so allow time to practise distance control and alignment before judging the fit.
